We went through several musicians before we found our one and only Steven Mark Kohn. Steve scores all our guided imagery, and he's developed several different musical pieces to fit our far-ranging topics. People love his music so much, we wound up offering two of his scores without any imagery at all.

Steve studied composition with Donald Erb at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and then embarked on a career of writing and recording music, primarily for radio and television. In addition to writing commercial and industrial tracks for clients such as Wheaties, Volvo and M&M's, he has scored programs for the Disney Channel, PBS, NPR and BBC. He helped create four ABC weekend specials, including the Emmy-nominated Runaway Ralph.

His first opera, Rite of Passage, was written at the Banff Centre for Fine Arts, and premiered at Opera Ora-now in Toronto. His "Hymn for String Orchestra" was recently recorded by the San Jose Chamber Orchestra and released on CD.
